Choose the Durability Metric that will be used to assess Durability Scores for activities.  Here’s an explanation of each option:

Option Description Units
Total Work The total work performed is tallied and the rate of decline of your signature is calculated as a function of this.  This is a good general metric to use but doesn’t properly account for the differences in intensities.  1000kJ of work performed at an easy intensity (<< LTP) will have little affect on durability whereas 1000kJ of work performed near or above Threshold Power will have a great effect. % Decline per 1000 kJ
Work Above LTP Work Above LTP is an improvement over using Total Work but this also presumes that work below LTP will have no effect on durability and that all work above LTP is equivalent. % Decline per 200 kJ
Carbs Used Carbs Used is an improvement over both Total Work and Work Above LTP since this include effects on durability from all intensities and will scale higher with higher intensity.  In addition, you can indirectly assess the affect of fuelling strategies.

Carbs Used will also enable a Carbs Replenished additional input value per activity that allows you to input how many carbs were consumed and used as energy during the activity.
